Iida Municipal Hospital: Screening, Lecture & Concert
Iida Municipal Hospital / Iida, Nagano Prefecture
The official blog reported the first screening in a hospital.
Photographs and the original account ↓Photographs, and words from that time.
Iida City in Nagano Prefecture has been the setting for several nationwide firsts in our work.
Iida was also where we held the test screening of LIFE INOCHI.
This time, LIFE INOCHI was screened in a hospital for the very first time. 👏✨

During rehearsal, I looked at what seemed to be at least 200 seats and wondered whether so many people would come. But enough people came to fill the venue! 👏✨
From newborn babies to grandparents—truly three generations of families! Doctors and nurses from the hospital also joined us.

During the scenes featuring Lennart Nilsson’s photographs in LIFE INOCHI, an older woman in a wheelchair, still connected to an IV drip, watched while applauding.

At the end, a patient with breast cancer came to speak with us. “I have five children, and I want to watch it with them,” she said. “Thank you for today.”
Someone also told us how lovely it was to see a five-year-old in the back seats explaining to a child of about two: “Those are pictures of when we were inside our mothers’ tummies. That is what we used to look like.” ☺️

We had been told that some people might feel unwell and need to leave partway through. But everyone stayed through the concert that followed, listening right to the end. It was such a warm gathering. ^_^
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Iida Municipal Hospital who organized this event, and to everyone who came.
