MEMORIES & WORDS

Photographs, and words from that time.

Once again, it was a wonderfully dramatic screening. We shared a miracle with so many people.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us and everyone who helped make it happen.

On the day, heavy rain fell across many parts of Kyushu. At Keya Beach, our venue, there was rain, strong wind and high waves.

As messages arrived asking, “Is it still happening today?”, every member of LIFE® angles answered without hesitation, “Yes!” Deep in our hearts, we believed we would be able to hold it.

Together with everyone who trusted those words and came,

just as we had hoped,

the rain stopped, and by evening the sky was clearing. With the air and the place beautifully refreshed, we were able to hold the event.

Facing the sea, listening to the waves, surrounded by darkness and countless stars above,

we watched in a space that seemed to cradle us as though the Earth itself were a mother’s womb.

LIFE® INOCHI

It was a special experience.

From small children to grandparents, we shared a moving moment across generations.

Rain, wind, waves, sand, blue sky, clouds, sun, sunset, air, darkness, stars—

experiencing so many elements of nature,

some people felt a gentle warmth, and tears came naturally.

Hearts connected with love and life.

It was a wonderful time.

And there was more to this occasion.

Professor Shigeki Inoue of Kyushu University, head of its SDGs Design Unit, spoke about the many initiatives he has put into practice to make the world a better place.

The certified NPO Japan Therapeutic Care Association offered hand care by the sea, accompanied by the sound of the waves and lyre performances by Mariko Harada and 田浦久美子.

There was so much to experience!

Thinking back on it fills my heart once again.

Itoshima’s beautiful scenery has guided our work.

The birth of LIFE® INOCHI owes something to Itoshima, too.

Being able to use Keya Beach is no simple matter. To have been guided to this opportunity was deeply moving.

I am sincerely grateful that we were able to share this feeling with so many people.

Outdoor screenings take a great deal of work to set up and take down, but each one becomes an irreplaceable memory.

Thank you, too, to all the LIFE® angels members who once again worked behind the scenes, helping so much with setting up, taking down and everything in between.

Next time: August 8 at the YOH SHOMEI Aso Highland Museum of Art!
Let us share more unforgettable moments together.
